That's right folks! Microsoft is working on a new Windows. This one should fix the problems that were in Vista, while making it its own thing. It has the look and feel of Windows Vista, but with different task bars, Wallpapers, and Games.
I managed to get Windows 7 Beta (Didn't get the Release Candidate yet...Bad Internet connections here on Vacation) on a Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop (My main Laptop) for less than 8 gigs of hard drive space. 512 MegaBites of memory. My only complaint is that the Drivers for my video, Sound, and Ethernet cards do not work on Windows 7. Plus, I did a dual boot with XP (Works great on that setup!), but the drivers did not roll over.
Overall, I rate it a 7.9-8.4 out of 10.0. I may try the release candidate sometime in the future, since they say its got the bugs fixed in it.

Progress Report: June 11, 2009
So far, the computer case is put away for now. It still needs work on the inner case, and the outter case needs spray paint. I've decided to make it into a "Xbox Desktop". It will be an original Xbox (too cheap for a 360 *chuckle*), but with a hardswap. I believe the harddrive was a 10 gig. It will have a 40 gig with DSL (Damn Small Linux) preloaded.
Pictures will happen as soon as I can charge a camera, and get a picture hosting website. I am on Vacation right now. Meanwhile, I will be looking for a certain part that I need (IDE cable, with dual plugs (I dont know what the termonology for it is.)

Follow me on Twitter! And the computer rebuild progress report....
Follow me and my builds/ whatever I'm doing.
Search for TexanBoy95...That would be my twitter.
Now for the progress report... I am trying out some case looks. I think I will spray paint the outter case, and continue to scrape the inner case. While I was changing a power tool's head, I almost took out my right index finger. Remember kids, Don't play with power tools until your thirteen!!!

Windows Internet Explorer 8.0 is now available!
Microsoft has done it again! ...or has it? The computer software company has come out with the new Windows Internet Explorer 8, but is it worth getting?
To be honest, it looks almost the same from Windows 7, but with some new gagets. Now you can visit your most viewed websites with ease! The taskbar for this is right next to the favorites.
To download go to:

New addition to knowthemachines!
We will be reviewing some video games every once in a while. Be sure to look for those!
...Haven't I done this before....
...so I was just thinking that I've done this sort of thing before, making websites, Gametrailers, and some other things.
I've decided to try Blogger.com to try and help people on the topic of the machines most of us can't live without. Can't think of it? No it's not our cell phones, or our Ipods. It's our beloved computers!
I will also be using this site to show off some of my computer builds, along with some information about computers, and I'll throw in some things to know about our Earth. Maybe even about the weather!
I'm hoping this will kick off something worth keeping. See ya'll around (Insert Texan Accent Here)!
